McLaren BP23 is coming

McLaren announced in November that it wanted to celebrate its 50th birthday with a very special car: McLaren BP23, where BP stays for Bespoke Project. This vehicle is directly deriving for the most famous McLaren Formula One vehicle that is considered to be a mile stone for the firm. McLaren BP23 is exceptionally good even for ,McLaren’s standards. It should cost over two-million Euros. You can put your wallet back in your pocket because all the models have been already sold even though they will not be delivered until 2019.

McLaren F1, produced between ‘93 and ‘98, is still nowadays one of the fastest vehicles in its category and an icon in the automotive world. McLaren tried to create a Gran Turismo with extreme performances, able to possess and use features usually meant only for Formula One. From this great ancestor McLaren BP23 got a three-place layout and the production: there will only be 106 models like it was with the F1.

This project is even more special if we think that it will be the last one within the Ron Dennis era. As its dismissal is approaching, it seemed fair to unite all his great achievements in one extraordinary car. We would like to think that McLaren BP23 is his signature.
