Lamborghini Road Monument

The idea behind this project was probably born within Lamborghini but the administrators and the YAC (Young Architects Competitions) professionals have definitely excitedly received it. It has been decided to build two architectural installations praising Lamborghini and place them on the two main roads in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Their principal feature is, besides embodying the company’s innovatory spirit, communicating a positive ecological message through the use of sustainable material and building techniques.

To cut it short,  Lamborghini Road Monument  is simply a competition to build two monuments. It might seem illogical that these two installations should represent both a technologically innovatory firm and pure and untouched nature, but rendering this dichotomy is the real challenge. The aim is to state that excellent vehicles and respect for the environment are strictly connected to each other. The Sant’Agata Bolognese administration has immediately taken advantage of this and is now promoting its town through one of the most popular brands ever.

Lamborghini Road Monument represents Automobili Lamborghini’s leader’s, Stefano Domenicali, visionary and futuristic approach to vehicles. Four very important international studios will be helping him make a decision, Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Fabio Novembre, Studio Libeskind, Foster & Partners. As an extra support, there will also be the Emilia Romagna region patronage and the Bologna Art Academy.
